Obituary of Donald Edward Barry
Donald Edward Barry, of St. George, at the Charlotte County Hospital on October 06, 2012 surrounded by family Donald went to his heavenly home. Born on April 09, 1946 he was a son of the late Arthur and Geraldine (Hatt) Barry. Don/Donnie, as he was best known, had a real zeal for life. He was very social and always enjoyed the company of his family and friends. Don was an avid hunter, fisher and gardener. Whether it was these hobbies, or the trades in which he worked, he was very proud of everything he did. The same can be said of his family. He was a proud brother, husband, father and grandfather and he was especially fond of his four grandchildren, as they were of him. His love showed every opportunity he had to be with them or spoke of them. This love and pride will live on in our memories forever. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, Stephen (Judy); daughter, Mellissa (Jeff) Dionne; grandchildren, Colby, Denver, Julia and Tyler; brothers, Elwood (Brenda); David (Sherry); Raleigh (Judy); Terry (Ginette Bourque); Ross (Brenda Baird); Greg (Holly Martin); sisters, Glenna (Harold) Ross; Debbie Barry (Earl Ingalls). He was predeceased by brothers Peter and George; sisters, Beulah and Diane. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB (466-3110), with visiting on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, in Lepreau on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm.. Interment will take place at Lepreau Community Cemetery, Lepreau. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charlotte County Cancer Society, Extra Mural, or to the charity of one’s choice.
