Obituary of Barbara P. Mitchell
MITCHELL BARBARA P. - At the Campobello Lodge on Thursday, March 24th, 2016; Barbara Phyllis (Webb) Mitchell , wife of Burnham Mitchell of Campobello, NB. Born in Oromocto, NB; she graduated from Moncton Bible Institute in 1952. She was the daughter of the late Elwin & Nellie (Nason) Webb. A resident of Campobello, most of her life Barbara was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, raising her family , looking after the home front, while still able to be active in her church work and manage some spare volunteer time for the work at Edith Lank Camp. Barbara loved the outdoors and everything the Lord provided to her. Surviving in addition to her husband Burnham are her children, Stuart (Ellen) Russell “Blake” (Suzanne), Scott (Valerie), all of Campobello, Kevin (Patti- Ann)of Alberta, Gregory (Nancy)of Hampton,NB, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one very special great great grandson Micah, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Resting at Wilsons Beach United Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Tuesday, March 29th, 2016 at 2:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall. The interment will take place later in the spring at North Road Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church during a time of visitation on Monday from 2:00 pm … 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm … 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Gideons International, Wilsons Beach United Baptist Church or Edith Lank Camp would be appreciated by the family.
