Obituary of Paul F. Wilson

WILSON PAUL F. - Peacefully at Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, NB, with his wife by his side, on Monday, November, 11, 2019; Born in Calais, ME. U.S.A he is the son of the late James & Geraldine (McCurdy) Wilson. In Paul’s early years he served briefly with the United States Navy. He then went on to work for 38 years with the chip & saw mill in Woodland, Maine, retiring in 2001. Paul loved to walk and when he was able, could often be seen walking the borders or at the Garcelon Civic Centre walking the track. He loved his sports, was an avid bowler in many leagues in both Calais and St. Stephen, and like a true New Englander, he loved his Boston Red Sox, and the NE Patriots. Paul was truly a good samaritan, always helping others. Whether it be raising money for several different charities, like the Terry Fox run, local charities including the Saint Croix No. 1 Firehall, or mowing lawns for just about anyone in need, he was there to help. He always had a smile and a wave, loved his coffee chats and jokes that even recently, he would share with anyone willing to lend an ear. Above all else, Paul loved his family. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Memories of picnics with a Hibachi grill and drives to some of Maine's beautiful State parks will live on. Surviving in addition to his wife Carolyn of 47 years, are his 2 daughters Patti Wilson of Oak Bay, NB, Nancy Fraser (Jamie) of St. Stephen, NB, 4 grandchildren, Ashley Porter, Seth Wilson, Anthony Paul Fraser, Jarett Wayne Fraser, ––––––––––––––––––––––., one sister Linda Tracey and one brother David Wilson both of Calais, Me, several, nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Fraser, son in law Wayne Fraser, and one brother Sonny (James) Wilson. By Paul’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Society or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
