Obituary of Mary Inez Legacy
LEGACY MARY - At her residence in Canal, NB, Mary Inez (Dempsey) Legacy, wife of the late Leslie Legacy. Born in Jacquet River, NB; she is the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary Cecelia(Guitar) Dempsey. Mary worked a number of years with the tuna plant in Bayside and then later worked with Charlotte County Hospital in the cafeteria. Mary was well known to her family and friends as a great lover of gardening with multitudes of plants and vegetables. She thoroughly enjoyed music of different kinds. Mary is survived by her children 5 daughters, Mary Dempsey, Maggie Hartford (Edward Johnson) all of Milltown, NB, Susan Chevarie (Colin) of Canal, NB, Cindy Legacy of Fredericton, NB and Barb Daigle (Shawn) of Milltown, NB, 5 sons, Edward (Vickie) of Black’s Harbour, NB, Manuel (Tammy) of Milltown, NB, David (Tammy) of Moncton, NB, Dennis of Milltown, NB, & Alan (Wendy) of St. Stephen, NB, 1 sister Linda Muise (Louis) of Scotch Ridge, NB, 13 grandchildren Leslie, Jason, Roland, Caleb, Clyite, Becky, Amy, Amanda, Andy, Krissi, Vanessa, Shelby, & Ashley, 19 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by 2 infant children, 4 brothers Robert, Herman, Milfred and Wallace, 2 sisters Irene & Greta. By Marys’ request cremation will take place. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 2nd, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street St. Stephen, NB. The interment will immediately follow at Milltown Catholic Cemetery, followed by a reception at the St. Croix Christian Centre on Milltown Blvd. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
