Obituary of Joyce R. Cross
CROSS JOYCE R. … Peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, November 4th, 2018; Joyce Rosalyn (Wentworth) Cross, wife of Milton “Moe” Cross, for 62 years of St. Andrews, NB. Born on Deer Island, NB she is the daughter of the late Ernest & Lina “Mildred” (Mitchell) Wentworth. In addition to her husband Milton; she is survived by her 2 daughters Cathy Doon (Pat) of St. Andrews, NB, Heather Hamilton (Justin) of Woodstock, NB,1 son Jeff Cross (Alison) of St. Andrews, NB, 8 grandchildren Erin, Graham, Nathan, Ashely, Tyler, Adam, Jennifer, Megan, 5 great grandchildren Sophie, Isabella, Rowan, Noah, Evie, 1 brother Roger Wentworth (Alice) of Centreville, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce was predeceased by one brother Gordon. Joyce was a longtime member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. She worked at Connelly Lobsters as a secretary until her last child was born and she stayed home to raise her family. Some of Joyce’s favorite things to do were knitting, taking long walks, reading and most of all enjoying time spent with her family. Friends are welcome to attend a graveside service on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 at 2:00 pm. at St. Andrews Rural Cemetery. Rev. Dinesh Gomes officiating followed by a reception in the St. Andrews Baptist Church Hall. In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County SPCA or to St. Andrews Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
