Obituary of Donald Murray Jackson
JACKSON DONALD. M - At the Charlotte County Hospital on Thursday January, 28th, 2016; Donald Murray Jackson; husband of the late Lorraine Virginia (Henderson) Jackson of Wilsons Beach, NB. Born in Campobello, NB he is the son of the late William Howard Jackson and Mary Elizabeth (Matthews) Jackson. Donald was a long time member of Wilsons Beach United Baptist Church. He was also a long time Mason and member of Washington Lodge #37 of Lubec, Me. (since 1966) and the Anah Shrine Temple of Bangor, Me. (since 1969). Donald worked in the family business Jackson Bros., Ltd. for more than 50 years. He was also an agent for Imperial Oil for over 20 years. Donald was known for his love for his family and he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Donald is survived by his 3 sons: Leonard (Lori) Jackson of Oakland, Me.: William (Marcia) Jackson of Lubec, ME.; and Donald Wayne Jackson of Campobello, N.B.; 1 sister Marjorie (Sissy) Newman of Campobello; 9 grandchildren; Leonard (Loretta) Brown of North Carolina; Maureen (Jason) Hooper of St. Stephen, N.B.; Amy (Greg) Bell of Virginia; Kathryn Jackson (Ryan Gruber) of Oakland, Me.; Jared (Meghan) Jackson of Fredericton, N.B.; Josiah Jackson of Lubec, Me.; Narissa (Curtis) Malloch of Campobello, N.B.; Sabrina (Shawn) Lord of Deer Island, N.B.; and Shayna (Ryan) Martin of Campobello, N.B. 19 great-grandchildren; Bradley Brown (Shae Young); Alicia Brown (DJ Nowlin); Courtney (Brittany) Mikeal; Noah Brown; Brett (Katie) Hooper; Michael Hooper (fiancé Naomi Ste. Marie); Samuel and Ethan Bell; Mya and Sutton Jackson; Gabriel Jackson; Ashton and Carter Brine; Sydney Malloch; Payton and Keaton Lord; Haylee Jackson-Brown; Rylan and Olivia Martin; 2 great-great grandchildren Caiden Brown and Bryce Bowles; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Donald is also survived by long time friend and companion Deanna McAllister of Fredericton, N.B. as well as her children Jennifer, Lisa, Beth and Scott and their families. Donald was predeceased by 1 brother Keith Jackson. Resting at Wilsons Beach United Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Monday, February 1st, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jason Hooper officiating. The interment will take place in Wilsons Beach Community Cemetery at a later date. A reception will follow in the church hall. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday for a time of visitation from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wilsons Beach United Baptist Church, Anah Temple, 1404 Broadway St., Bangor Me. 04401 or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
