Passed unexpectedly at the Grand Manan Hospital on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born in North Head on Grand Manan Island he was the son of the late Walter & Roberta (Smith) Green.
He is survived by his children; Danielle Green, Kirsten Green, Jed Green, grandchildren; Curtis Green, Brendon Doucette, Jessica Green, Emily Esson, Zachery Green, Alyssa Martin, Tanisha Martin, Cody Martin, Tapanga Martin, Hunter Green and Miley Green, great-grandchildren; Caden, Liam, Zoey, Levi, Sophie, Raya, Carter, Jayce, Savannah, RJ, Chandler and Eilas.
Predeceased in addition to his parents by his siblings; Tracy Green, Gary Green, and Janice Russell.
Dana begin Purseing with his father at young age before beginning to Lobster fish first with his father than with his brother Tracy until he was 65. He loved ridding his electric bike, he would travel across Grand Manan, stopping in to say hello to everyone across the island. Everyone knew him by his childhood nickname “Zoonie”. He adored his 3 cats: Nag, Fufu and Rosie. Time spent with his family was, was always cherished, Dana would often share his talent for cooking with those he loved the most.
Cremation has taken place; a memorial is being planed for a later date.
For those who wish donations in memory of Dana to the Charlotte County SPCA or CARMA (Cat Rescue Maritimes), would be appreciated by the family.
