Obituary of Allan E. Hunter
HUNTER ALLAN E. – Peacefully at Lincourt Manor in St. Stephen, NB, on Sunday May 4th, 2025; Allan Edward Hunter , husband of Anita Chisholm – Hunter of Oak Hill, NB.
Allan was predeceased by his wife of 41 years Linda Mae (Symes) Hunter and his parents the late Harold & Georgia (Reynolds) Hunter. He is survived by his wife Anita Chisholm – Hunter of Oak Hill, NB, and daughters , Lisa Williams (Claude) of Beaver Harbour, NB, Allyn Hunter (Reg) of Saint John, NB, stepchildren Dale Chisholm (Julie), Jeff Chisholm (Illetta), Jeannie Chisholm & Keith Chisholm all of Oak Hill, NB, grandchildren Jordyn Williams & Leah Williams, step grandchildren Troy, Jarod, Ayla, Brian,Sarah, Emma, Travis, Tonisha, siblings Eldon (Laura) , David (Claudette), Harry (Jean) all of Douglas Harbour, NB, Kenneth (Maria) of Scotchtown, NB, Jo - Ann Flower (Alan) of Nauwigewauk, NB, and Helen Greer (Duane) of Fredericton, NB, brothers in law, Cecil Symes and Richard Regimbal of Moncton, NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Allan was born in Clark’s Corner, NB on August 5, 1945 and grew up in Douglas Harbour, NB , and raised on a farm. He was self employed as a carpenter for over 40 years. He also took care of and supervised 65 apartment units.
Allan took pleasure in spending time with Jordyn & Leah and was so proud of the young women they have become.
As to his wishes, Allan will be cremated and 2 services will be held in celebration of his life. The first service will be held at Milltown Baptist Church, Milltown Blvd, St. Stephen, NB on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025 at 11:00 am. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall. An interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
A second service will take place on Sunday May 18th, 2025 at the Douglas Harbour Community Hall at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Scotchtown Cemetery. With reception to follow shortly there after.
In lieu of flowers donations to Milltown Baptist Church & the Scotchtown Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com
