Obituary of Maxine Mae Ladda
Maxine Mae Ladda of Dufferin, NB passed away peacefully on Jan. 13, 2016 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born Feb. 19, 1940 at Oak Haven Rd, NB, she was the daughter of the late Percy Alexander and Hilda (Scovil) Alexander. Maxine and her husband Siegfried Ladda married Sept. 10, 1956 and have resided locally ever since. Survived by her husband Siegfried Ladda; daughter, Cathy; two grandchildren, Matthew and Emily; sisters, Darlene Stewart and Joyce Phillips, and brother, Roger Alexander; brothers-in-law, Gene Atkinson, Norman Hill, Wendell Stewart, and Blaine Phillips; sisters-in-law Margaret Alexander, Thelma Munro, Brigette Freiwald and Kate Kahl; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Percy and Hilda Alexander; her brother, William Alexander; her sisters, Jean Hill, Frances Smith, and Sharon Atkinson; and one brother-in-law, Ron Smith. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for reading, gardening, and bird watching. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she is missed by all those who knew her. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation funeral arrangements. A commemoration of her life will take place this spring at the Oak Bay Cemetery.
