Obituary of Deana Iris Longaphy

LONGAPHY DEANA  I. – At the Charlotte County Hospital on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025; Deana Iris (Carter) Longaphy, wife of Dale Longaphy of St. Stephen, NB. Born in New Glasgow, NS; she is the daughter of the late Charles & Iris (Robertson) Carter.

In her earlier years;  Deana worked for  Ganongs Chocolates. She also loved working with children and became a foster parent caring for many young children over the years. Her house was always full. She also had a job for many years that involved cleaning hotel rooms; a job which she loved and said if the opportunity arose she would dearly loved to get back to doing.

Deana had a passion and excitement for the open road and would seize any opportunity travel them on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Surviving in addition to her husband Dale of 14 years are her children Elizabeth (Dean) of Petitcodiac, NB, Donald (Becky) of St. Andrews, NB and  Toby, also  of St. Andrews, NB, grandchildren Marshall( Meghan), Mason (Maddie), Sarah (Ben), Avarie, Aiden and Ember, Prescott and David, siblings  Art (Cathy), Donald (Mary), Billy (Rita), Brenda (Kevin), Nancy (Darell), sister in law Cathy many nieces, nephews and cousins. Deana was also survived by her former son in law Tony Hall,  as well as dozens of foster children.

Deana was predeceased by  her parents, and  her first husband Donald Hall, brother Randy and her sister in law Rita. 

By Deana’s request there will be no visitation.  A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 PM on May 10th, 2025 at the Moore's Mills Rural Cemetery (Rte. 750 Moore's Mills NB). 

 In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation  or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com
