Obituary of Olive M.C. Collins
COLLINS OLIVE - At the Passamaquoddy Lodge, in St. Andrews, NB; on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016; Olive Muriel Christine ( Pretty) Collins. Born in Ashton, Ontario she is the daughter of the late Emery J. & Muriel (Smith) Pretty. A veteran of World War 2, Olive served with the CWAC enlisting in Kingston, ON on September 1943 and served until September 1945. After her service she came back to New Brunswick and she worked tirelessly with her late husband on the family farm. She was a longtime member of the Rollingdam United Church. Olive was predeceased by her husband Ralph, 2 brothers Ken & John and 2 sisters Inez and Doris. She is survived by her son David of Old Ridge, NB, a brother Daniel Pretty (Barbara) of Madoc, ON, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street St Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110) from where the service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 15th, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Jim Crighton officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Rollingdam United Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home during a time of visitation on Friday from 11:30 am until service time. In lieu of flowers donations to the Rollingdam United Church or charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family.
