Obituary of Mable C. Scott

SCOTT MABLE C. - Peacefully in the presence of her family on Monday, August, 21st, 2017; Mable Christine Scott of St. Stephen, NB. Born here; she is the daughter of the late Vern & Alberta Scott. For many years Mable worked for Connors Bros., retiring just a short time ago. Friends and family of Mable’s knew of her love of poetry, in which she loved to read as well as write some of her own. Mable never married nor did she have children, so she loved to induldge herself in the love of poetry and travel. Mable is survived by her brother Nate Scott of St Stephen, NB and his friend Linda, nieces Crystal Scott, Wendy Fishwick and Amanda Mitchell as well as many cousins. Mable is also survived by her uncle Paul Scott (Bessie) and her friend Jack Cochrane from Hanover, ON. She was predeceased by a brother Darrell. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street St Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110) from where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Friday and Saturday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. There will be no funeral service but in the spirit of her love of poetry there will be selections of her poetry read throughout the afternoon on Saturday. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Moore’s Mills Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
